I arrived in Lisbon on February 8th to join my friend André in helping launch a Christian ministry called V21. I have never traveled to Europe until now, and I am loving the rich history of this city, the hospitality of the Portuguese people, and getting lost wandering down tiny cobblestone streets in between elegant, historical buildings of the most beautiful pastels.
My first adventure out on my own was to Baixa-Chiado. It's pretty touristy as it is considered Lisbon's downtown area, but it's definitely not the honky tonk bars and cowboy boot shops I am used to considering "touristy" in downtown Nashville. With every turn, I discovered stunning architecture, towering archways, and casual cafés. Every day I try to get out and go somewhere I haven't been before because there's so much of the city to see!
